    Would this be stupid?

To buy 1 B share of Berkshire Hathoway? BRK-B. They are going for 3900$. I was going to do it in my ROTH for 2008. What do you guys think? Also how do you feel about Sirius/XM. SIRI. I know they are in a lot of debt since they bought out XM but it has potential. As long as it keeps getting these contracts with the car companies. Any other stocks that you guys would recommend? Financials?

Why buy Bershire Hathoway? Because it's a novelty. Run by Buffett? Expensive?

If you want to lose money, ask for stock picking advice on the internet. It works like a charm.
It's an accurate statement that our current spending will not be increasing the debt We've stopped spending money that we don't have.

Not trying to be negative, doublebase.

I have several different funds, and own a little stock, after dumping most stocks for the cash.

But I am not even sure you can buy only one share of Berkshire Hathoway.

I am no expert. I do read about investing regularly.

Does this mean I don't know what I'm talking about? This is hard to say.

    Who does?

My broker is so bad, I pick on my own. And he's one of licensed CFPs.

My point again is this: I wouldn't waste your time asking for this information on Berkshire, not only on a body-building forum, but on an investing forum. Investing forums are full of people making assumptions.

And again, I doubt you can only buy 1 share of Berkshire.

It's up to you to contact them - not to ask on a forum. If you were serious about this, you would have contacted them already.

Some people on here invest a lot and could give me some advice. I've learned more on this forum then bodybuilding btw. Thanks for the last two posts though.

Wait until the end of the year when(or if) the Federal Tax Credit for Solar expires, watch the stocks in First Solar(FSLR), SunPower Corp. (SPWR)and Suntech Power Holdings (STP) drop drastically, buy some up and then when the feds renew the credit, oil skyrockets or just general demand makes them popular again you'll rake in a huge profit....

If you want to gamble on the feds renewing the credit by the end of this year or think oil will go up drastically buy up some First Solar in the next week as they are at an all time low at 222 today where as they've been hoverin at 260-280 they havve been one of the largest growing solar companies so far, I wish I had invest 5,000 back in 2007 I'd be doing good even now with it down so far.....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
