Alicia Keys And Jack White, 'another Way To Die' -- New Song

'Quantum Of Solace' Anthem Named Worst
    September 21st, 2008 1:00pm EDT

Movie fans have branded the theme song for Quantum of Solace the worst Bond theme ever. The opening track for the hotly anticipated follow-up to Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig, was unveiled on several British radio stations earlier this week.

But it has been mauled my fans and music critics alike.

Written by White Stripes frontman Jack White and singer Alicia Keys, the song, Another Way To Die, was blasted by one fan as sounding like a "shopping list" of violence.

Another said White and Keys' different singing styles "don't gel" on the track, while music critic Todd Martens added: "The first mistake was mimicking an iconic score with some electric guitars and modern effects, which is always, always, always a bad idea."

Even Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher waded into the row earlier this week - telling fans it was a "piss-take" that a movie featuring the archetypal English spy was to be soundtracked by "a bunch of f--king Americans".

I didnt think it was that bad... not really my genre of music at least not anymore.. I see the bond-ish tune in the it, though... the 'pah pah pah <short pause> pah pah pah <short pause>'.. Hopefully they will do a kick ass opening sequence for the song in the movie..

I'm going old school. I still vote for Shirley Bassey as the best for Bond songs.

Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever and Moonraker. classics.

I liked Paul McCartney and Wings with Live and Let Die a lot and also Carly Simon's The Spy Who Loved Me (Nobody Does It Better)

It wasn't bad, I think it had too many change-ups for the average pop lover, folks like purely simple repetitive shit. The metronome minded want to sway with a beat and not get distracted with a change every 10 seconds, but I like music like that something where I can't anticipate what's coming next it keeps me alert...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
