I was impressed with how quickly they got that one together, using the same speeches as Obama and McCain. Very cleaver show. Randy's my favorite part of that episode.

Eh. Thought it was on its way to another WOW episode that even us anti-SP fans would like, but right when it became Oceans 11, I got bored.

I dont know why I am not into this humor. I know if my friends pulled this shit off it would be funny, but otherwise I am a dear in headlamps. I get the ridiculousness (obama & mccain working together) and I can see the humor (families partying in the street just for obamas win), but its not enough to make me LOL. I think its cuz they ride on their jokes for too long or stay in ridiculous mode past its prime.

The WOW episode was off the wall, yet still true to a fault. Kids & adults do actually get that crazy over that shitty game. The ridiculous was few and far between and thats what made it funny. When Cartman shit all over his mom, that was great! They kept on the humorous story and let the reality do all the work while throwing in just pieces of unrealistic shit (vs. a constant unrealistic plot like the political party doing a oceans 11). They kept the "are you serious?" moments to a minimum, but made sure they packed a punch when they delivered.

Bottom line, I cant believe my shit kicking girlfriend annoyed me so much right now to make me describe a cartoon's presentation while I wait for her to make up her fucking mind about Crispers.

I feel the same about Family Guy. I've always hated that show.

I was watching an awards show on Spike and this complete fuckhead comes up to present an award. I had to cover my eyes because I was so embarrassed for him being completely over-the-top and not funny. Then he did the "giggdy-goo" thing or whatever the fuck he says and I realized who he was. Then and there it made perfect sense to me why I hate Family Guy so much.

Don't even compare family guy and south park, they are in two different leagues. Family Guy is just random shit mushed into a ball,

"Remember that time we ate dinner at Mussolini's house and ghengis khan came over and he forgot the salad he promised to bring(cut to some retarded flashback having nothing to do with the episode or whatever sad excuse they are using for a plot that episode)"

Southpark episodes can go either way, but in the last several seasons have served a social commentary disguised as a cartoon about kids or some slightly hick Colorado town.

I'm not comparing the two. I actually like South Park, it has substance. Family Guy is always in "ridiculous mode" which is what I hate about it. Not only is it in "ridiculous mode" all the time, but it's in " I saw that joke coming from a mile away mode" too. I know AKIRA in "real life" and I happen to know he likes Family Guy. I was simply making the point that I hate Family guy for the same reason he doesn't like South Park, which doesn't make much sense to me considering I find South Park to be innovative and original. Everything Family Guy isn't.

Ahh ok, its a pet peeve I have when I see the two compared, or what i thought to be, for the same reasons you just stated.
