Miracle dog gets stuck in car grill and survives after being knocked down - mirror.co.ukA terrified pup lies embedded in the grille of a car - after being hit at more than 70mph.
The year-old pet was carried 15 miles after being scooped up in the front of a Peugeot 207.
Miraculously he escaped with a broken leg and bruising after being spotted when stunned driver Marco Menozzi arrived home at Cozze, southern Italy. He is now in a dog pound where vets are trying to find him a new owner.
A police spokesman said: "He's a very lucky boy. He was saved because he was hit so hard. Any softer and he would have bounced off and been crushed under the wheels."
