    Must be the GE engines...

    Blame global manufacturing sources -

My deepest simpathy to the highly trained
    pilot and his family.

Not to mention the firefighters and rescue workers.

Have Problems?... Chances are its due to overpopulation

I can't believe the people who are trying to blame all this on the pilot or the fact that he ejected and didn't try to steer it into the water. He had no time and probably no way to steer it or I have to believe he would have done so.

I hope the town gets sued for building right up on the base like that (piss poor planning that resulted in the loss of 3-4 lives and all that property)!

Actually GE has a very good track record.

I haven't read the story but i doubt the crash was due to engine failure. Even with one engine failure the aircraft is still capable of maintaining unless failure occurs at or around the time of takeoff.

the pilot was very close to the runway he was trying to make it to, but his engines flared out or something and he had no choice but to eject. im sure his life is not going to ever be the same knowing he played a part in killing a family and young children, whether it was his fault or not.

There are a lot of chewies in San Diego.

Statistically, I'm probably going to be happy.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.
