That is one of the weakest bans I have ever seen. However making fun of a mod and making fun of the owner of the site are very different.

I might talk shit to someone who works at my favorite bar, but I wouldn't talk shit to the owner if I ever wanted to come back.

Its too bad. Splashlog was interesting, and this site can't stand to lose many more regular posters.

Either way, I am glad you are assessing time based bans.

Another site does that that I am on, but a bit too much. A lot of idiots need to be permanently banned, yet they get banned for only a time period.

In any case, because some of us go to other sites, we see how others are banned so it does draw questions...

In response to Kel's reply, I would fuck with the owner within limits. Depends on the tolerance.

Banning him was wrong IMO. Is Splash a bit controversial, yes but hardly ban worthy. As many have stated he adds to this site and right now this site needs it tremendously.

For others to get their panties in a bunch over what he's said and done seems very juvenile. If you don't like what he has to say ignore him. He's certainly nothing like foreman btw.

Yeah, I like splash, too. I have liked a lot of people that were banned. I argued to get them unbanned, and it did no good. The fact is, IM is a company, not a democracy.

If somebody wants to make a request to Rob by show of a vote to reconsider, and let splash back with some sort of probation, you got my vote. Otherwise, this is over.
