that is the problem today, athletes only play for the money, very few play for the love of the game the way they did decades ago.

I would play football because its the only pro sport I really care for and like to play.

I like football but I am not sure I would like to do it for a living, something like professional mountain biking or rock climbing would be soothing to me I think.

Definitely golf. Get to travel all over, walk on some of the most beautiful patches of Earth, longevity, pick and choose which events to play, don't have to work in the rain.

I do love Pierce, but I'm a Pedroia look-a-like and was the same type of player he is growing up.

    Baseball or Hockey.

Could care less about the money. Just love playing, that is the reason I still play recreational in leagues now, and the only reason I pursued getting my shoulder repaired. I probably will till I am a cripple.

    Baseball being my first choice.

I'm way to versatile to pick just one.

NBA - I's got mad ball handling skilz. I can dribble like a 6 month old

MLB - I can throw the meanest 54mph fast you've ever seen.

NHL - I can lace my own skates.

MMA - One punch is all I need then I take me a little nappy.

    I agree. Add to that:

    The play in nice weather.
    The game isn't strenuous.

Soccer, David Beckham is world wide.....

I'd get to travel all over the World and not just within the US, I'd have women of every nationality, I could become a kicker on a Pro Football team if I wanted.
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
