I had my wisdom teeth pulled on friday, and im hurting like a motherfucker and taking a shit load of prescribed OXYcodone...I can see how people get addicted to this shit, im loving it makes me feel like a happy drunk but without the vomiting....Im actually having a good time

still feeling good, took another one couple hours ago...can;t explain the "tingle'ing" feeling in my legs and the "don;t give a fuck" sensation that is just so freaking relaxing...It was my last one, tomorrow I should be back to normal...can't fuckin wait to brush my teeth again after 4 days, wisdom teeth was the only little wisdom I ever had, and now that's gone as well.

Might be your last one but tomorrow you'll be on the phone telling your doc you're still in pain and asking to get more, then you'll find some guy in the pharmacy who can hook you up with a bunch then from then on you're gonna be an addict.....unless you're like me then you can play with pills and then not touch any for months or years......

    Pink Floyd

    Hello,
    Is there anybody in there
Just nod if you can hear me
    Is there anyone at home
    Come on now
    I hear you're feeling down
    I can ease your pain
And get you on your feet again
    Relax
    I'll need some information first
    Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts

There is no pain, you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
    When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain, you would not understand
This is not how I am
    I have become comfortably numb

    O.K.
    Just a little pin prick
    There'll be no more aaaaaaaah!
But you may feel a little sick
    Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go.

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown
    The dream is gone
    And I have become
    Comfortably numb.

What type of surgery did you have on your shoulder ? I am supposed to have a shoulder capsulorophy(spl) on my left shoulder but i backed out due to the long recovery. I have a dislocation about once a year.

As far as pain killers my ortho is a candy doctor. He writes me a script for tylox like they are going out of style. Tylox, percocet = oxycodone. I'm not even in any type of pain other than a little tendinitis after a work out. I prefer downers. Xanax, Valium, ..etc, they give me energy. My brain must be wired backwards.

Torn Labrum and Posterior Stabilization. Two Anchors to re-attach the labrum.

Surprised you don't have Labrum problems with the subluxations.

If i remember correctly the MRI showed that something was stretched. Stretched shoulder capsule maybe ? I'm not familiar with the anatomy. I'm gonna have to look up labrum and subluxations.

I actually scheduled a surgey. Lyproscopic using a laser to heat the stretched part of my shoulder which when cooled was supposed to shrink. Instead one day before the operation he thought it would be a better idea to make a 6 inch incision and cut out the stretched portion and then reattach. I don't know the medical terms he was using. Recovery went from 6 weeks to 6 months. He just gave me an uncomfortable feeling.

My recovery is 4 to 6 months.

I am at 8 weeks right now. Can do daily activities. Strength is obviously down and ROM has some work to do.

My injury impaired on me being able to play some sports, so I chose to get it done.

I have to be very careful. No sporadic, uncontrolled movements. Running and weight lifting are my only two hobbies now. Other than increasing my knowledge and becoming more God like everyday.

oh yeah, I had to switch love hands because I didn't want a trip to the emergency room smelling like watermelon vanilla lotion.

Yep, oxy's turned me from the most straight laced guy you'll ever meet to an addict in a very short period of time. Clean now 6 months and they still pull me.

Be very careful. I was the same as everyone else who say's "I've never been addicted to anything in my life. I got this under control". Oxy's ruined part of my life and my families life. The devil in pill form is my best description.

I've done heroin and it never made me feel like I had to have it again, but one time when I had a few morphine tabs after the effects wore off I was craving more......oxycontin had a similar effect but I always focus on the negatives and it keeps me away from continuous use.

Yep, synthetic opiates are extremely addicting. Of course the level of addiction depends on many factors. People like me who never even thought of the possibility of addiction can be easily snuck up on.
