The first one is a pretty easy read. The second will require a lot from you. Both are excellent. |

Im also reading The Irresistible Revolution, its a Christian book recommended to me by a missionary friend in Barbados, its written by a fella that lives in a slum in philly and works with the homeless. I dont have much of an opinion yet, and probably most folks wont care anyway, but it seems interesting so far.

I am just finishing reading Blink by Malcolm Gladwell, and I am also working on Frogs Into Princes, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby, and a couple others.
Blink was an easy, fun read, but I dont see much use in reading the book. It didnt TEACH me anything

Volume I of Marcel Prousts In Search of Lost Time: Swanns Way
Just his remembrance of little things and the emotions and feelings they gave him that we can all relate to, it's similar to Catcher in the Rye, you're like "Yes! I have had a similar moment.."
"We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Natures inexhaustible sources of energy — sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

I just had to fly from Mobile to Memphis to Dallas to Springfield, MO on business. I bought this book to listen to while I traveled.

No Angel by Jay Dobyns.
Written by an ATF agent who infiltrated the Hell's Angels. I found it quite entertaining. I'm currently reading the Godfather which I am thoroughly enjoying.
