I know cops don't make any extra money from tickets here because if they did then they wouldn't be cheating on the Special Duty Assignment Sign-Up Website like they recently were busted for....Just about every cop I knew in Waikiki had to do a few days work on special duty assignments to make extra money especially the guys with kids. It's also rare to see a person pulled over on the highways I think they stick more to the city streets just because traffic is usually a pain in the ass, a few motorcycle cops will hit the main stretches because they can run the shoulder all the way....
