I was hoping Obama would champion soft drug legalization, control, and taxation.

The war on drugs is tantamount to your war on terror. It can never be won, just fought....With a whole bunch of money being made and spent in the process.

I didn't read the thing or watch the video, so im only going to comment to what I think is the issue here, i dont want to get my blood presure up so thats why im not reading furhter

I think pot and steroids should be legalized...Pot, because it would make tax money and be less of a headache to everyone.....Steroids, because they are not fucking even close to being dangerous as alcohol and cigarets...

The only sensible thing to do would be to legalize soft drugs and tax the shit out of them.

The problem is this only takes care of a very small percentage of the problem. All the hard drugs would still be out there and the cycle would continue as is.

Just about everybody that has researched the "War on Drugs" has concluded that it's been a failure.

And also, you cannot have a war against an abstract concept.

The fact that this guy was fired shows how political the so-called War on Drugs is, and how many special interests are involved.

I can almost guarantee that Barry smoked a lot of pakalolo while in here in Hawaii.... I'm betting he feels it's illegalization is a crock of shit....but in a first term he's gonna tread lightly on subjects like that. Now second term,if he makes it I'll be willing to bet he'd make some sort of step even if it's just legalizing medicinal use in all states....

    From Wiki:

    Criminalization (1900s)

The first significant instance of cannabis regulation appeared in the District of Columbia in 1906, though this law was not an outright prohibition.[4] Regulation of cannabis followed in Massachusetts (1911), New York (1914), and Maine (1914). Simultaneously tensions were building in the western and southwestern states regarding the influx of Mexicans to America. Many Mexicans also smoked marijuana to relax after working in the fields.[5] Later in that decade negative tensions grew between the small farms and the large farms that used cheaper Mexican labor. Shortly afterwards the Great Depression came which increased tensions as jobs and resources became more scarce. In 1913 California passed the first state marijuana prohibition law, criminalizing the preparation of hemp and its products, the phrase "Indian Hemp" (Cannabis indica) is sometimes used or "loco weed". Other states followed with marijuana prohibition laws including: Wyoming (1915); Texas (1919); Iowa (1923); Nevada (1923); Oregon (1923); Washington (1923); Arkansas (1923); and Nebraska (1927).[6]

I thought there was Freedom of Speech in this country?

Obviously, it's restricted in many ways.

A guy tells what most of us know, and he's fired.

And as usual who foots the bill for this stupidity. Taxpayers.

we can't even tackle literacy in this country!

the "wars" on things help to justify big budgets for certain gov agency's, etc...it's just a dog and pony show.

on drug ops in the caribbean we used to search mainly small boats about 90%, never the tankers or super-tankers. there's 300metric tons of cocaine coming into the US annually, it's not coming in by the kilo.
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
