you couldn't make a marriage last more than 6 months?

Does anyone know anything about this? Do I have to split my bank account and pay spousal support if I break up my marriage of less than six months? I will be talking to my lawyer but I just want to know to have some peace of mind.

you may be able to get it annulled.

How old are you?

6 months into marriage and already looking into divorce.

"shot gun wedding" perhaps?

Depending on what state you're in, usually the only thing that is split is anything acquired during the marriage. In only six months, this seems like it would not be that much. It seems as if what you had in your bank account before marriage would not be subject to division.. unless it was a joint account.
The idea of spousal support is to help the spouse in her transition from being married to being self-sufficient. I highly doubt any judge would order spousal support for a 6-month marriage... the idea is that she was self-sufficient before the marriage and the marriage was only 6-months... nothing has really changed unless, for example, she like is highly pregnant with your child and has quit her job as a result. Is she employed? Is she capable of supporting herself? If yes, then spousal support is highly unlikely.

After only 6 months, I believe an annulment is still an option. Is this a mutual sentiment or just yours?
No need to be miserable for many more years or the rest of your life, best to rectify this now.

That is exactly what the lawyer told me. No, we don't have joint account.
I don't think she is pregnant. If she is then its not my baby..0% chance.lol She just started working about a month ago and she makes more than me.unless, for example, she like is highly pregnant with your child and has quit her job as a result. Is she employed? Is she capable of supporting herself? If yes, then spousal support is highly unlikely.
