    I'm such a Manly Man

    I officially have a garden roughly 20' x 15'.

    6 tomato plants
    10 bell pepper plants
    20 sweet corn plants
    10 cucumbers plants

What else should I plant ?

I plan on throwing enough pesticides to them that not even the locusts from back in the day of Moses could kill them.

That's good, but don't do that, cause you just may end up poisoning yourself!

But the garden is a good idea, if you can tend to them properly, try to use the least amount of pestacides as possible.

Maybe you should plant some herbs, no not that kind!

Thyme, basil and oregano are good choices.

But then again, I haven't the faintest idea when you're pulling my leg?

I'm on the for real yo.I guess it's one of those growing up things. I was being sarcastic about the pesticides but i'm not going the organic route completely. I gotta a Ho,Hoe, tiller, and shovel.

Herbs are a good idea though. I still have a lot of garden to fill.

Maybe I could get some of those onions that are spelled with a V, Vi -dell-ya or something like that.

green beans are a good idea too. I feel like I have such a purpose now.

The garden actually has a two fold purpose: nourishment and a suntan. Tanning beds really make my skin feel strange, like an unhealthy feeling.

This is the perfect time to start a garden. How about some Broccoli or some cauliflower. Carrots maybe.

Never had broccoli in a garden. I'll have to look into this.

Will my urine keep away animals ?

I don't know if human urine would keep pests away, but I doubt it! I know they sell bottled Coyote urine. If, you wanna go the piss route. This works.

Speaking of pests, You will have to worry about gophers and such coming from underneath. Did you place chicken wire or something similar underneath?

Or, did you raise the garden by building a bed?

Look at me, like I'm farmer freakin John!

I got tools baby. All I gotta do is rob my parents basement.

If I can just get my Ho to hoe I'll be set.

We've had a garden every year back home; this is just my first time solo. Sometimes I exaggerate my ignorance sometimes I'm just ignorant.

Silly question: Do you by the seeds for herbs or the baby plants ? Better question, can you buy germinated seeds ? We've never grown herbs.

Salt & pepper are the only herbs country folk know about

    Basil.
    Carrots.
    Lettuce.

I'll ask my Mother - she's big into gardening. The ones listed above are ones I know we have success with.

Sorry Roid, I had to cut that post short. I was going to ask, if you had a Home Depot or a Lowes chain in Alabama.

Nice, and just in time for summer!

A partridge in a pear tree

or jicama, I love jicama in salads

actually you should plant some greens, you know the other lettuces besides iceberg and some spinach so's you can grows up to be strong like I yam.....sweet potaters might be good too

don't plant herbs, you can grow those in a window sill planter, you use so little of them that a whole row in your garden is wasted space........

I have one of those hydroponics Aero Gardens, we did the herbs first and rarely used them our basil plants were out of control, now we grow greens and they get used very often......

    Spinach is another good idea.

What was the cost of an Aero Garden ? I've saw them advertise a couple times on the tele.

I'm sure it would be good to get some plants started but it only extends to 14-16 inches so you'd have to build a bigger unit to accommodate the more mature plants......it's not hard to build I sell solar equipment to home hydro-growers all the time......
