Me too! Especially with Egg Nog around the Holidays.

But then again, I also like my booze on the rocks.

Try the Captain Morgan with Egg Nogg, I'm sure you will agree that this is pretty tasty.

I can drink booze straight from the bottle, I guess I learned something in the Marine Corps. Just takes some practice, that's all.

i like eggnog but need to find a good recipe that doesn't use raw eggs. the premade stuff is wayyyy too sweet.

i drink so infrequently now from the bottle would be a damn small sip.

I hear you, but this is the beauty of adding Captain Morgan.

Unless you have an allergic reaction to eggs? Then try 7-up, this is just as good!

He reminds me of a black guy Terrence I went to High School with. He was a skater and wore Misfits, Dead Kennedy's, Revolting Cocks shirts and had a mohawk. He used to refer to himself as a jig and would go around school giving saggy pant gangstas wedgies. Last I saw him he was working at a tattoo parlor and riding a Harley.... One of the coolest guys you'd ever meet and he totally transcended all ideas of skin color making any of us different in anyother way but appearance......
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I had a friend like this too. He was black and acted like a surfer. One day, and I'll never forget this as long as I live. We were at the beach drinking and smoking herb, this guy had the notion to get on his boogie board and head out to the open ocean, I swear as god as my witness he wen't so far, us on the beach lost sight of him.

When he got back all he could say was, where's the booze and the dope?

    Sounds like something i would do.....but I'm 1/4 Afro-merikan

yeah just found out all this time my Mom told us her mom was 1/2 mixed but she was full on black woman just lighter than Lionel Ritchie. My uncle in Seattle, the "black sheep"(one because he is darker than the other boys in the family and two because they used to say he was adopted to avoid the racist people where they grew up from knowing they were all mixed)anyhow he just told me, I really never knew my Uncle until I started emailing him recently and he has been telling me the truth. My hometown used to be so racist they had a sign that read
"Nigger don't let the sun set on your ass" so my mom's family used to say they were Mediterranean, Spanish Moor anything other than Mississippi Delta Negroes. He told me not to blame my mom because she had been told these lies so long she probably can't remember the truth, blacks are still very rare in that area. My uncle moved away because he was sick of being ashamed of identifying as mulatto...

That's cool man, I don't even have any uncles. I mean my mom had brothers, but they were all bank robbers, so we never knew them, just of them. Heck they could have been Nephilim, for all I know.
And my dad's side, he had brothers also, but he passed when I was little kid. Get this, when he died, his mother kicked my Mom out of his house cause he never left a will, she could've won this in court, but my Mother bless her heart didn't choose this route, so I never got to know them either. So we moved to the Projects, and boy was that fun. If it wasn't for me excelling in sports they would have harassed me like all the other kids.
I remember having culture shock and on just about every corner, scribbled on the walls was this saying, "Black is beautiful, Tan is grand, but White is the color of the big boss man". Ahh, youth.
But I digress. That's your blood man, are you going to stay in contact with him ? I hope so....

Yes I am going to keep in touch with my uncle, him and I are too much alike while the rest of our family have all lived in that same area forever, a sleepy group of old mining towns with nothing to do, him and I set off for adventures in far away exotic locations. He tells me I look like his younger brother who shot himself after coming back from 'Nam just with blonde hair and fair skin.

I lived in the projects for a few years as a kid, my father had just divorced my Mom and had 3 kids to raise. Being that he had never graduated High School he had to take whatever job was out there and he was offered a job with the city as a maintenance worker for the low income housing units with rent free accommodations so he took it. Of course that made us the only white looking people and made me a target for the first few month's until I could defend myself and gain respect.....I toughened up quick in that time.....

Good for you manic, that's a shame what happened to his Brother. But isn't it so funny how life is? After all these years, you remind him of his Brother. Having somethings in common will really make it a lot easier. For me having Golf in common with my inlaws was awesome its like her Father is my Dad, and his son's my brother, and I'm the brother he never had. So we were able to bond quickly through Golf.

I remember you being so candid and writing about that. I remember thinking we have that in common. Ah yes, the old project horror stories. Shiite, it's a wonder how you and I aren't some freakin murderers or something, then again, that time in 1990, when I was a Jarhead, and in the Saudi Arabia, but we were sent into Iraq and greeted with a mutual salvo, but they say that doesn't really count.

    Here's to ya Manic.
