    I got lost there.

Why do you want the US to get involved, I would really be happy if we stop trying to save the world.

China has been around long before us....they don't want to change....and if we make them change.....can you say conflict!

When did we save the world? So far it looks like we have been using inocent people as bargaining chip to get ourselves a better deal from china.

China has been around long before us.
    So what?...
they don't want to change....and if we make them change.....can you say conflict!
According to the article that I posted, it doesn't look like we are making them to change. It looks like we are giving them 'Green Light' to kill inocent people.

You didn't OK, then thread basically over.
When did we save the world? So far it looks like we have been using inocent people as bargaining chip to get ourselves a better deal from china.
Is it all about China with you?

    So what?...
They have this way for centuries, you think they will change now? Your naive.

According to the article that I posted, it doesn't look like we are making them to change. It looks like we are giving them 'Green Light' to kill inocent people.
So I ask again, what do you want America to do? Slap them on their wrist? Invade them?
Sounds like you want us to get involved.

Just because china has been like this for centuries, doesn't mean chinese people have to live their entire lives under suppression. They, like any other humans in the world, have right to live free. There are many innocent people in china who are fighting to free china from chicom, but supports from countries like ours to chicom is making it very hard for them.

So I ask again, what do you want America to do?
Stop supporting the regime. Punish all the corporations who use slave labours to make profit for their business.
Sounds like you want us to get involved.
You assume too much and pay no attention to what I am saying.

    Chinese=ordinary chinese
    chicom= member of communist

I've been to China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, all of those places Chan mentioned.

Hong Kong is by far the least chaotic. Taiwan comes in 2nd place, and China a distant last place.

Just consider that Chan was speaking to Chinese businessmen in the People's Republic of China. He's telling them what they want to hear. I doubt he actually believes what he is saying.

Jackie Chan was born and raised in a free country. I guess that is why he doesn't understand how it is like being suppressed by a ruthless regime for rest of the life. It is easy for him to say that chinese need to be controlled as long as it is not him who is being suppresed.

we ARE the symbol of freedom.
However, who are we to to ram our way of life down everybody else's throats?
Don't you think its kind of arrogant to think that everybody would want to live like us? There been reports done, sorry don't have links, that some peoples actually LIKE having leaders like saddam, chavez and castro in power to dictate to them.

So, chobby, not to point directly at you...but if it bothers you so much, what are you doing about it, other than bitching about it without a fix action on a body building forum?
Now, basic human rights? yes...I believe everybody should have basic human rights.
I do not know you. Have you ever been out of the country? have you ever been to a 'sub' 3rd world nation? I'm living in one right now. Afghanistan. Have you ever seen the level of poverty I've seen? I can only hope these people, in general, are good, decent people. But, God forgive me for saying this, but they are primitive at best. We and the rest of the coalition forces here are fuqqed. We will be here for an indeterminate amount of time. Why? 'cause these people can't seem to take care of themselves. From the little I've seen and the reports I hear back from the troops who go on patrols across the country side, there is no real sense of country. No sense of community. They take care of their family/clan first and foremost with a. Have you seen the movie Black Hawk Down? In the begining of the movie where we are dropping off supplies as aid to the Somalis and the war lord takes it from the people for his power and use? That happens. It seems to happen here. Its a basic, primitive mindset. Until they as a People come together as a sense of community, they will never know freedom.
If you really want to do something pro-active, join the Red Cross or Peace Corps, see the world first hand and devise a way to fix it and then make it happen.

we cant be everything to everybody. We can be that beacon. We will continue to hold out our hand in friendship as we have always done and always will.

Do you think speaking up for human right is like shoving our way of life down other's throat? Human right is everybody's business, not just a business particular country. It is universal. Those who can't tolerate human right may be shouldn't live in human world.

Don't you think its kind of arrogant to think that everybody would want to live like us?
Can you find anyone who doesn't like to be treated as human?

There been reports done, sorry don't have links, that some peoples actually LIKE having leaders like saddam, chavez and castro in power to dictate to them.
Those people must be belonged to the inner circle who are benifiting most at the expense of general public.

These ordinary chinese are not happy under their ruthless leader, that is why they are fighting for their freedom:
CHINA Party divided over arresting all (or some) Charter 08 signers Asia News

..and these chinese are quitting communist party:
Epoch Times - Increasing Numbers Quitting Chinese Communist Party

..and personal story of ordinary chinese:
Epoch Times - How I Learned the Truth and Why I Quit the Communist Party

So, chobby, not to point directly at you...but if it bothers you so much, what are you doing about it, other than bitching about it without a fix action on a body building forum?
I am doing my part by making people aware of violation human right taking place in other countries.

Have you ever been out of the country? have you ever been to a 'sub' 3rd world nation? I'm living in one right now. Afghanistan. Have you ever seen the level of poverty I've seen?
Ofcourse I have. That is why I am speaking up for people who have been silenced by the ruthless regimes eventhough the word 'human right' doesn't seem to be welcome in here sometimes.
I can only hope these people, in general, are good, decent people. But, God forgive me for saying this, but they are primitive at best. We and the rest of the coalition forces here are fuqqed. Yes I do feel sorry for our troops, but they are just following orders of a leaders who can't seem to come up with smart ideas.

If you really want to do something pro-active, join the Red Cross or Peace Corps, see the world first hand and devise a way to fix it and then make it happen.

Who determines what are universal human rights? Who determines what is and isn't a human right?

What about here in America? The rights America's Founders set forth are no longer abided here.

Thanks for pointing that out. Yes, we still have rooms to improve human rights.
