Pro Test levels 6:1

I read that in some Pro level sports they only fine/ban you if your 6 times the normal testosterone level. And labcorp the top range is 1197ng/dl. So 6 times that would be huge #'s. Can this be right?

That 6:1 ratio it your testosterone/epitestosterone ratio. When testosterone is produced naturally another compound, epitestosterone, is produced in approximately the same quantity. Epitestosterone is identical to test except one carbon has a different chiaral configuration which renders it biologically inactive. When exogenous testosterone is taken and natural production is suppressed the approximate 1:1 T/E ratio is thrown off in favor of testosterone and the athlete would fail the test.
