Can't make PARAGRAPHS

When I hit the 'enter' button I don't make a new paragraph. All other forums let me do that. How to get that going for me here please?

IE10 has issues with vB boards. You may consider a different browser like firefox

What type of device and application are you using to browse this forum?
Have you checked the settings on everything you are using?

Thanks folks. I use Explorer but all the other forums let me do paragraph breaks. I hate my Win 8. I use StartPage as a homepage - they don't store & track. And did I mention I hate my Win 8?
