I recently got a personal trainer, and have been working with my trainer now for three weeks or so. My sex-drive before I began working out consistently was rather sluggish, definitely not like it was even a few years ago. Now that I've been working out, my sex drive is - BAM - right back there. Soon after work-out sessions is when it is most intense.
What's happening to my body from working out that has caused such a change in my sex-drive? Does anyone else experience what I do?

working out has definately increased my sex drive and losing fat has help...ah....performance...however, my wife works out too and all it does for her is make her tired and ready to sleep. She's a sexual camel, that one.

There probably isn't just one answer regarding why libido would increase resultant to exercise. Sure there are hormones that increase because of exercise. In addition, you're tapping programs to increase energy levels. Also, I imagine the change in physical appearance and elevated self-esteem play a role in this .

Ive heard there is an increase in testosterone when you lift weights, so increased sex drive would be a likely side effect.
