I have dated a girl that a friend dated in HS. The three of us were very good friends and discussed it like ............... gulp ............ adults. He was ok with it as was she. If either of them had said it wasn't cool, then it would have ended there. Personally, if a friend wanted to date someone I had dated, more power to ya. Just because a relationship didn't work out for me, shouldn't mean I should have some influence on who you date. I'm way to casual to have any kind of dislike for someone trying to find a workable relationship. Life's too short to worry about things I can't control.

In Lurker's case I agree with you. The guy who have to step back. I have friends who kid around as they know a bit about our relationship, but it's just that and it's always done with me around.
