at the risk of repeating myself: Read the stickies on diet & nutrition, thats where she needs to start!

Find a great gym where she will feel comfortable , perhaps tag along and train together. Start up on some light resistance training and cardio, raising intensity in both as u (she) progress...If the gym isnt for ya, find some physycal activities that she or u both enjoy(can be a simple as a walk) and get active...most importantly, she will need to make a 180 turn in her diet and habits...

    hope this helps!

Does she think she needs to lose weight or is this just your view of her?
Bottom line, she needs to want to do it for herself.

Well, he did say he loved her very much, so obviously to him it's not like that, and I'm sure he is still getting laid, why not just let her do all the work?
