First Date Etiquette

Hi Guys,
It's been four years since I've had to face the dreaded first date!
It's like a dentist drill for me... something painful that just has to be done in order to progress.

So I've got my date lined up for the weekend

First question:
It is the done thing to kiss on the cheek at the start of the first meeting
if you've never met face to face before?
IMO it would seem a bit forward, but do you really want to shake hands and say:
"Hi, My name is blabla" with a woman you'd like to eventually have sex with?

I agree a kiss on the cheek (or flowers) just screams, "I am desperate and trying way too hard."

Go into it without caring about the initial greeting. If you hand shake or hug or just wave at each other, it shouldn't be pre-thought out. Meet her like you would any guy friend you meet or any girl you have known all your life. Just do what comes naturally when you meet. Too much thinking about it just stinks of desperate douche baggedness.

Really, she is just a chick... Who cares what she thinks. Be yourself. If you like each other and connect then it will be because you are being who you really are and reacting the way you really do. If she doesn't like it, so what? There are thousands more lined up after her. Don't premeditate stuff or put on an act. She will either accept you for yourself or you can bang the next one.
