I just don't understand how people find interest in a bunch of tough macho men getting into a cage and beating the shit out of each other which lasts an average of 2 minutes and then talking shit afterward as if they accomplished something when all it took was one strong punch to the face (most of the time by pure luck) and then countless punches while the guy lays there unconscious.

UFC reminds me of Tennis, Golf and WWE. It is only popular during the "main events" (i.e. U.S. Open, Wimbledon, Wrestlemania, etc.) but other than that it is average at best.

Judging by the post you no nothing about the MMA. I won't waste my time in teaching you about it because it doesn't sound like you care.

I watch most golf tournaments also. Not just the big events. The UFC has a PPV once a month BTW.

Shiz, you picked the wrong thread in which to mess with MMA.

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Brooklyn has a huge Italian community and when Italy won the world cup a few years ago it was pure mayhem, like the world stopped turning. There are literally riots during and for soccer games, flares going off, threats being yelled etc. Soccer is huge my friend and just because ADHD Americans need to see a point scored every 2 seconds doesn't mean its any less of a sport.

Also if you think that winning an MMA match is mostly luck, I'd like you to get in the ring with even a mediocre amateur MMA guy and start throwing punches. See how many times he beats the piss out of you before you get in that so called 'lucky' punch.

He obviously has never really watched the sport. He is acting young and naive. Usually not showed in his posts.

I think you're confusing UFC MMA with the old style "cage fights", that is not what the UFC is, these are highly trained, skilled, talented professional athletes, and I would say 95% of them go over and check on the guy after they knock them out, and if there is no knockout they hug, thank and congratulate each other. Most of them have a huge amount of respect for one another.

Honestly you should stop posting in this thread, you're making yourself look extremely ignorant.

It's obvious you guys can't handle criticism from someone with a different perspective. But, hey that's the way society works ... if someone doesn't agree with you let's jump on the bandwagon and act all defensive because apparently he's always wrong and you're always right.

it has nothing to do with criticism or a different opinion, you're just talking out your ass about a sport you obviously know nothing about.

As much as I'm kidding myself I'm going to give it a shot.

UFC 100. None of the fights lasted less than 2 minutes. While there were 2 knock outs on this card none of them were luck. You may argue the Henderson knock out was luck, but I would ask you if the Michael Jordan closed eyes free throw was luck. and these guys were not getting knocked out with 1 strong punch. Anyone even someone who has never seen a fight in their lives would recognize that these guys were taking multiple strong punches to the face that were not knock outs. And remember these guys are not using boxing gloves. These things are not big and bulky. there is not a lot of padding. So far none of your points has held up when tested against UFC 100.

Now lets get to your second point. only popular during main events? for shits and giggles try going to a local fight night. They are popping up all over the country. I think you will be surprised at the size of the crowds and what venues these guys are able to fill. and these are the amateurs that don't have many fights.

all of your points are ones that don't hold up when you look at them objectively against reality. Thats why everyone jumped on your post. Even a casual observer will be able to see the flaws in your argument.

I am just not buying shiz's argument.

What else are you baiting?

None of what youve listed makes sense, so who or what you are trying to instigate?

Weighted Pullups 80lbs 3x3 (3/19)

Yeah its a waste of time responding. It's like Foreman got a hold of his account or something.

Have you taken a lot of shots to the head by any chance?

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
