Childress says Favre won't come out of retirement to play for Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Brett Favre won't be coming out of retirement to play for Minnesota.

Vikings coach Brad Childress confirmed to The Associated Press in a text message Tuesday that the three-time MVP quarterback for the Green Bay Packers would not join his team when training camp opens later this week. Favre's decision was first reported by The Star Tribune on its Web site.

I find it hard to believe that this is true. Not only because of Favre's drama track record, but why would he even bother getting the surgery done?

I still don't believe it. Look at Peter Forsberg two years ago. Said he was done and no chance of coming back, then like four days later he signed with the AVS.
