Well ya. Its just a loss, they just need to hit with runners in scoring position. Pretty bad time to go cold though.

That was bad, really bad....almost as bad as Castillo's error.

I still think they will make a series of it. I have a hard time believing they will lose tomorrow night. Ive heard alot of Cards fans killing Holliday saying they wish they never wouldve traded for him! What a bunch of idiots! If it werent for Holliday I highly doubt we wouldve made the playoffs!

If we win the next one I bet Carpenter goes on 3 days.

Holliday said he lost it in the lights or was it the sun, it was happening to a lot of the other players

I mean he is human. It drives me nuts to hear people talk about how shitty it was, of course those are the same people who are fat and nonathletic! The same people who played chess in high school instead of baseball.

They really just need to get through the game today and I think they should have the right people going in order to win.

Whether he lost it in the lights or not.

They left 13 runners on Base. Inexcusable.

Agreed.....its been that way the entire series. Molina hasnt been doing anything, hes always a double play waiting to happen, but normally hes pretty clutch. They need to pull their heads out of their ass and play like they have the entire second half!

Pineiro had 21 quality starts out of 32, and was one of the Cardinals' chief stoppers, with six of his wins following defeats. He had a 2.87 ERA in 15 starts at Busch Stadium

Heres my question, were the Dodgers that good? Or was the Cardinals that pathetic? Frustrating to see nonsense such as that! I guess I will steal a quote from Cubs fans and say, "Just wait till next year!"

A little of both. Card's bullpen gave away game 2, Holliday's error not withstanding. Carpenter didn't exactly pitch a gem. And the Dodger's #3 outpitched the Cards #3.

I really don't like these best of 5 series. The outcome probably would be the same, but there's very little margin for error.

One of my friends was at their last game, he said they gave Holliday a standing O when he took the field and they chanted his name for 5 minutes when he came up to bat!

So Mark McGwire hitting coach....

Thoughts?

Also saying that if Dave Duncan leaves they will bring in Mike Matheny as the pitching coach. I really dont see Duncan leaving though.

When I heard about this I was kind of shocked.
He all but disapeared from the face of the earth.
What can a slugger like him teach?

But if we can accept users like A-rod then I can't see why he can't coach.

The first thing I thought was, wow hes really going to come back and listen to the questions nonstop for 3 months? I think after the first 3 months the questions will calm down much like they did with A-Rod, but lets face it hes the number 2 person I think of when I think riods and baseball. Of course big head Barry is numero uno.

He actually works will Puljos every single offseason, so he knows his shit.

I still am not 100% sure why they fired Hal Mcrae though? I know Tony had a press conference yesterday, but I missed it.

Hitters who have gone to McGwire for help rave about him. Pujols credits McGwire the most for helping his swing. It'll be interesting to see him address the PED questions, though he probably won't say too much. I do wish him the best.

I am sure he will not say anything about it. Hes pretty much stuck with, "the past is the past and I want to move forward" thing. I think he will do very well. Hes such a nice guy, not to mention hes a HUGE monster. If anyone did steroids its definitly him. But hey in the era when a ton of them did, how can you fault him ya know.
