That said, I am surprised at the sentence. I figured he'd get off easier than that.

shouldn't have been that long, however, Plaxico made an epically bad decision and deserves to spend time behind bars as a result.

If he went to trial he would have served 3.5 years. so this is somewhat of a plea bargin.
