Joe Mauer for AL MVP

He's having a hell of a season. It can be argued that he's having the best year a catcher has had ever - pretty remarkable stuff.

Cabrera, Jeter, Teixeira, Longoria, Youkilis, Pedroia should all receive votes.

Still a lot of time left, it's a pivotal final month. Hopefully Mauer doesn't ware down because if Jeter wins it, I'll puke.

Without looking at the numbers I wouldn't have included Jeter in that group but he's having a real good year.

These last few years he's broken some very legendary Yankee numbers and he's close to breaking Lou Gehrigs hit record.
You also have to give him credit for the Yankees playing so well, since he's been leading off the Yankees have been hitting like crazy.
