Damn the Vernon wells contract didn't win.

precisely why my list would be different.

i'm holding out hope that there's simply no way he's this bad and that he'll at least be a competent player over the remainder of his contract.

of course, the Jays have already decided to keep him in centerfield (a mistake on day one of the offseason after a colossal failure opting not to trade Halladay at midseason) where he's a butcher and he's only getting older, so there is no basis for why he would improve next season and beyond.

who knows though? all signs pointed to David Ortiz having a rebirth and he had a down year. maybe if all signs point to Vernon Wells continuing to suck, he'll be comeback player of the year.
