LeBron James hits the open market

Sports pundits have been talking about this moment for at least a couple of years. Should be an interesting battle to get his services. I'm looking forward to seeing the battle, where he ends up, and where all the other off season cards fall. This should be one of the more interesting off seasons any sport has seen in a long time.

So what do you think? Cleveland? Chicago? New York? New Jersey/Brooklyn? Somewhere else?

If the Cavs let him go they're full of shit and it'll prove that their management doesn't give a damn about a championship!Would the Bulls have let Jordan go in his prime.Jordan was mr.clutch but i like King James playmaking abilities and his way of getting other players involved. He is so mature for his age,not a sellfish bighead a la Kobe Bryant!!!

It isn't about letting Lebron go. It is about Lebron deciding to leave.

Lebron can make a shit load more money in larger Markets.... like say New York or Chicago.

the cavs are going to offer him a max contract which is more than any other team can offer. now its up to the cavs to sweeten the deal with other incentives as well. time to bring out the high priced call girls

their high priced contract (capped) won't come close to the $$$$ he can make in a large centre.

lebron is already a global player. I find it hard to believe that he is going to get more exposure in New York than he already has. he can endorse whatever he wants right now. big market doesn't change that. look what happened when he changed his jersey number. he led the league in jersey sales as a cav.

There is more dollars to be spent in NY then there will ever be in Cleveland. The global position won't change. The NY media dominates the US.

Man Lebron make ten times more money with publicity than playing ball! Will a few millions makes the difference? As long as the Cavs offer a decent contract i don't think so!And to non-believers,how many years did it takes to Jordan to lead the Bulls to a championship? They just began to surround him with good players!

$$$$ makes the world go around. This is a business. He has agents and managers who are making money off of his Salary and marketing income. Damn straight a few million makes a huge difference, cause it impacts everyone else in the industry.

Very true about surrounding Lebron with players, no doubt that is the reason for there failures.

im betting he stays put. he would bring more money to NY than NY would bring to him. If kellogs wants to put him on a wheaties box it doesn't matter what team he plays for

Word is Mike Brown (Cavs coach) is a dead man walking. If LeBron can have a say in who the coach is, and if the Cavs can bring in another free agent (someone that'll actually help, not like a Mo Williams), I think there is a chance he'll stay in Cleveland. Cleveland can offer about $30 million more than any other team because of how the salary cap is structured, but I think in a large market like NY or Chicago, that $30 million can be made up through endorsements and whatnot.

what endorsements is Lebron missing out on? I mean honestly? The guy could be the spokesman for any brand he wanted to right now even if he played in portland, or.

This man looked confused after game 4, I mean what superstar gets 10 turnovers at a decisive game 7? Something internal inside the lockeroom must had happend, lebron looked passion less about winning.

If the cleveland lose lebron all I gotta say is poor cleveland fans. For years they try to win a championship and get their ass kicked by Jordan, now they lose their "king" to free agency.
