    Early BCS prediction

I predict that my alma mater The University of Oregon will be victorious, and that it will be a great game, for Duck fans, anyway. Our first national championship in Football is gonna happen tonight! Go Ducks! (totally unbiased opinion)

No one wants to see SEC fans crowing tomorrow, so go Oregon.

I'm a fan of neither team, but I would like Oregon to win for this reason.

IMO, the best part about college football is upsets.

Here's an interesting read on how Phil Knight of Nike branded Oregon into a national team:

The SEC has never lost in the BCS National Championship game. In five appearances since the 1998 creation of the BCS, the SEC is an undefeated 6-0, with four straight victories. Auburn, who has a chance to give the SEC its fifth straight title, has everything, including history, on its side. You guys might want to wear ear plugs then when this game is over...

Great game. Not our best effort, but Auburn played very well, especially their defense. Fun to watch, but we just came up short. There's always next year... Congratulations to all the Auburn fans out there.

I'm not a big fan of either, but I did pick Oregon for that one. Good game either way...

Excellent point. I'm guessing no. Newton will likely be giving back the Heisman as well. His dad shopped him around like a commodity.

if they were gonna make a big deal about it they would have already done it. that stories kind of old and they never really did anything about it. besides i think he could make a pretty good case for plausible deniability. he didn't know his dad was gonna be taking kick backs or was trying to get some money out of it

First of all, NCAA investigates for a long time sometimes. Secondly, talk to Reggie Bush about sanctions after your college career is over. If it can be proven that the school offered a dime, the player is ineligible, the title is removed, and all awards are voided. All this can take years.

it seemed like once the story really broke about reggie bush last summer and USC that it was just a few months and then the trophy was gone and all the other punishments. but anyways. im not a big fan of college football anyways. i just have to hear about it alot on the radio in the mornings

did you see that thing about his dad was banned from the games and they have pics of him there in the stands hugging Cam newton after the game? not that I can blame him for coming to watch his son play in the BCS championship though...

Very good point. All the politics that goes on with college football really turns me off.

Sure didn't take long for them to lower the boom on Ohio State.
