145 pounds now![]()

Those are good numbers for a 15 yr old.If you run a legit 4.7 just keep getting stronger and you`ll be fine. Most kids who say they run a 4.7 really run a 4.9.Not saying this is you.As you get stronger you will gain weight. At 15 it should come fast over the next few years.Good luck

Sounds like you are fine. Keep training hard and your numbers will improve over time. Be patient and consistent with your workouts.

you are very young and ambitious....you will grow into your body as it matures and the size and speed will come with it naturally.....you're doing great!

i just ran another 40 today, 4.8whatever though it'll get better with hard work
Don't worry about your 40 times week by week. At your age and all through high school, the only times that matter are those before the start of each season. Spend your time in the off season increasing your strength in core lifts (bench press, sqaut, dead lifts, shoulder press and cleans). You should also pay attention to your abs. As a running back, balance is everything and without a strong mid-section in conjunction with the above lifts, you'll won't break many tackles. You may want to also consider dual sports and focus on your speed by joining the track team in the off season. 100 & 200 meter events will do wonders for your game.
In athletic sports, arms are for show and legs are for dough....but, I prefer to have both! Hit those squats hard and you won't be sorry.
Best of luck - go for a 1000!

yeah thats what our team used to time us.

what is a good 40 time for a 15 year old kid who is around 5"7 145 pounds?

what would be good for:
40 time
bench max
deadlift max
and squat max

i think its depends on what you want like what type shape required.![]()
The below stats are average to above for your age, height and weight (assuming you're a freshman?). BTW...I had your exact stats when I was a Freshman and wasn't the fastest, strongest or even the biggest, but i trained hard and ended up being all conference in football and track.
40 time...4.9-5.0
bench max...165-185lbs
deadlift max...245-265lbs
and squat max...225-245lbs
If you're above those stats, then you're on the right track. If you're below those stats - then you got some work to do. Over the next three 3 years your body is going really grow and I'm sure you'll be crushing those stats. Good luck!

new maxes:
bench- 145x5
dead lift- 190
squat- 170

As long as you are pushing yourself to your max ability, the numbers will come along. Dont get overwhelmed by stats, and numbers. Winning games and advancing the ball are what you are looking for. If you do that then naturally your improving yourself. Show your coaches that you can outwork the rest of the team and you will get the payoff that you deserve.
Everybody wanna be a bodybuilder but dont nobody wanna lift this heavy ass weight. R.C.

Good point.
A good measurement... Well first of all, you have to be black.. Hey, I'm just saying.....
