    Don't know if that video shows Tyson's speech. But it was pathetic.

    Well-deserved on both counts. The original Rocky film is one of the best boxing movies of all time. Tyson was a great champion in his prime, and overcame a great deal to get there. Sad that problems with the law and addiction issues, along with an inability to deal with his success caused his career to be cut short. Most dominant heavyweight since Ali. Glad to see he seems to be doing better these days.

    Gotta say that Julio Cesar Chavez was a remarkable fighter as well, and had a very long and dominant career. Great technician who fought with tremendous heart and desire. Absolutely in my top ten all-time greatest fighters I had the honor to see.

    Stallone made a great movie and tyson had a great early career. The shape that boxing is in right now is an embarrassment. Politics and greedy outsiders are killing a great sport

    WTF is this crock of shit? Rambo was a good movie, but it would be retarded if congress tried to award him with the meddle of honor. At what fucking point did we start giving actors real life awards for the profession of the character they portrayed? This whole thing is embarrassing to boxing fans, or at least it is to me. Fucking retards!

    I hear what you are saying, but they do have a history of awarding admission to writers and actors who have promoted the sport, and I'm old enough to remember when the original Rocky came out. We had a ton of kids try out for our boxing team that year. Most eventually quit, but I do think that the film was a tremendous accomplishment, and promoted the sport a great deal. People forget that Stallone wrote the screenplay and was a Director on the film in addition to playing the role of Rocky. Since then, Stallone has continued to be a kind of ambassador for the sport. Of course, none of the additional Rocky movies holds a candle to the original. If there was no precedent for this, that would be one thing, but they do have a history of honoring people outside of the sport for their overall contribution to the sport.

    TYSON = GOAT

    Tyson would be able to beat anyone in the world while he was in his prime.

    to bad tyson helped tarnish the same sport he built, i'm glad he's got his ducks in a row now, but why do we need to reward a sexual predator who should've never fought again after the holyfield debacle...

    as for stallone, i say we make him fight a match first, it can be for charity, but i'd love to see him in a real fight

    Stallone was inducted to the hall under the "observer" category, not as a fighter. Writers and artists are inducted into the Boxing Hall in an entirely different category than the actual fighters. Nobody asked artist LeRoy Neiman to fight a few years ago when he was inducted for his depictions of many great fighters and classic fights. Stallone is an actor, writer and director who contributed to the sport through his art. He played a fighter in his movies, not in real life.
