Dallas lost in OT last night. You get a point for an overtime loss.
Damn, Detroit's been shut out two of their last three games.
My Vancouver Canucks are still going to pull off first, I'm sure :0)

Correct you are Sir, each team gets one point for a regulation tie. If a team subsequently wins in overtime that teams gets another point. Now, for some SERIOUS trivia. If a game ends in a regulation tie and each team gets one point, is it possible for one team to LOSE that point and if so, how?Originally posted by I Are Baboon

Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???
beats the hell outta me.......what's the answer
When you're in four-on-four overtime, if you pull your goalie and then LOSE, you forfeit the one point from the regulation tie.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Makes sense though, or every team would be pulling their goalie to try to get a win.
