Also, I think no matter what team Gordon goes to, he is going to get lots of money and good equipment, thanks to his high profile and marketability. Bill Elliott had a fantastic first year under Evernham, but obviously he's slidden since.
I'm not a NASCAR "lover", but I do pay attention.

Ok..............quick question. When Ray Evernham was with Jeff Gordon, I thought it was mostly Ray's expertise that made Jeff a good driver. Now that Ray has been with Bill Elliott several years, I have not seen an improvment in Bill's car. And Jeff is still in the number 2 or 3 spot in points. So what do you think contributes to a drivers skill more? A good crew chief that knows his stuff, or is it more the driver's capabilities?

I have grown up right in the middle of Nascar country. Until the last couple of years, most teams had home base garages here in Charlotte and Mooresville(a few miles up the interstate). I have always loved it. Attended many races here in the Carolina's over the years. Nothing like speed!!!!!!

I think they worked best together because of communication! They worked much better together than with Bill Elliott.
I'm so happy Jeff is out there proving them wrong. I love being in the stand in the middle of Elliott and Wallace etc. With my Gordon shirt! Cheering for him. It pisses people off.

yeah it's all about joe gibbs he latched on to tony stewart ..He's got some great drivers. I also agree that a driver needs exceptional skills to be on the best, but it won't matter s&^! if your pit crew/crew chief suck! That being said, I'm all for JG since he's from Cali

Yeah I've seen her in person. I was working on a low pressure sewer line on his street as an inspector when they lived near lake Norman in Charlotte. They would come get Brooke every friday in a limo to take her to the airport. He was crazy for leaving her. (maybe she's wacko??) But she is a baby doll! But he does act gay! That is the big joke going around!

I know a guy who used to lift (sort of) up at the Gold's at Lake Norman. He went to high school with her and said she got around pretty well.
About the whole Ray and Jeff thing. They were just a little advanced before their time. Everyone has caught up to their level of understanding now. Back when they were kicking ass, Gibbs was a 1 car team, DEI only had Park driving for them, RCR had Dale (skinner later), and Penske had Rusty. Now there are very few 1 car teams left.
