Isn't there a team in Japan called the "Ham Fighters?" Strange name.

I don`t think the "fighters" is actually part of the name......I`m not a baseball fan though ( never understand that game) though so I`m not sure.........lemme watch the news tomorrow and I`ll tell ya

Tigers have 118 losses...if they lose 3 more games they will literally be the worst team in baseball history ('62 Mets had 120 losses). That would be an awful distinction.
Can you imagine being their manager before game time? What would you say?
"Okay guys, let's go out there and try for 40 wins!"
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.
The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

The Tigers need to win their last six games to avoid breaking the post-1900 record for losses in a season. They are playing Kansas City and Minnesota (a playoff contender and a division winner). Things are not looking too good for the Tigers.
If the Twins clinch before the Tiger series, they might rest some of their regulars and try to get their pitching rotation set, which would give the Tigers a fighting chance.
