Just how stupid have the NFL officials become? Am I the only one who has noticed the latest trend to tell us that the "False Start" happend "Prior to the snap"? NO SHYT??? Gee I always assumed that by definition it HAS to be prior to the snap, otherwise IT'S NOT A FALSE START YOU FREAKIN' MORON!!! I was tollerating this stupidity without too much elevation of my blood pressure until this weekend when one of our "underpaid" "overworked" geniuses decided to tell me the Delay of Game happened "Prior to the snap."

Hee heeee......good point. How about when the ref calls an intentional grounding penalty, and calls the quarterback's number? As if the penalty could be on ANYBODY else!

I wish they would of stayed on strike personally. The "fill in" refs were much better.

I agree, the fill in refs did a very good job. The thing that bothered me was all the announcers felt obligated to make disparaging remarks about them just because they were fill in's. I didn't see any calls that were worse than the regular refs make.

actually what I liked most about the fill in refs was they didn't hold up the games with petty crap.

I didn't even think about that at the time, but now that you mention it I have to agree. Seems like they got in there, did their jobs, and got out of the way. Probably because they knew they were being watched like hawks and wanted to keep a low profile. I wish the regulars would get that mentality.
