Fantasy Football for you IM'ers?

Just wanted to see how many people would be interested in a fantasy football league (free) for IronMag posters?

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

OK..do you want to have an actual draft or let each owner enter rankings (or just use the Yahoo rankings) to draft the teams.

An online draft will take about 5 hours which is fine with me but it may be tough to schedule....what do you think?

OK, I made an executive decision...we will go with this:

Quote:
We will draft teams for your league based on either our default rankings or manager's pre-ranking of players. Once you set your league's draft status to Ready, your draft will happen within 72 hours.
I will PM those who say they are in with how to join.

I'd like to do it too. I'm dying for football season.

As for the live draft, you can set it up for a live draft and if anyone doesn't want to do it live their rankings will be used by the computer. Plus you can participate for the first couple of rounds and then let the computer finish up the later rounds.

This will be the first time I've done an on-line draft so please proceed with baby steps. I won't be able to participate live. My only real on-line time is at work and there's no way I can dedicate five hours. (Although you probably think differently if you watch how much I screw off around here. )

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT!
Before you guys start, we should do it on a certain site that me and my boys always use....Smallworld.com
its the best fantasy site there is. everyone starts with a certain $ amount (say $30 million) to buy your team of 2 qb's, 2 rb's, 2 wr's, and a defense. players' price is based on their performance last yr and expected performance this year. then, their price fluctuates throughout the season like the stock market based on how they're doing (if well, then people use trades we get to buy them, if bad, their price drops b/c people sell them). so not only are you trying to score the most points, but you also want your team to gain in price so you can afford even bigger players.

Anyhow, its SO easy to start a league. for instance, i could it in 2 minutes if you guys want. alls i would need to do is name the league (ie. Ironmagazine), and set a password so all IM'ers can get on, but not any ordinary schmoe.

I'm not sure if you aleardy startted, but if not, its a great site to do it with. as a matter of fact, we should start a fantasy baseball one also (the 2nd half just started, so everyone starts from scratch).

***Pm me pepper. IM sent me an email that says my box was full, so i didnt get your other pm.

alrighty, well, it would take me 2 secs to set up the league. you guys just let me know if you wanna join.

if you guys need help signing up, just email me or post it here.

league name: muscle
league password: iron

then just make up a team name, and start pickin your players.

*use your IM name as your team name, so everyone knows who's team is who. i'll set up the league today......

Not sure WTF Flex is doing ...so...we need at least one more owner to get to 12 in the orginal league. Also, anyone dropping out now, please let me know so you can be replaced.

Does everything have to be complicated?
