    What's your favorite football era? 40's, 50's....

    60's, 70's, 80's, 90's or 21st century football?

Mine would have to be back in the day of Johnny Unitis as drug use wasn't very common not like Walter Payton's day or the way it is in the 21st century.

But I loved the 70's as well as the current football.

I enjoy pretty much all years of football.

i don't think you can possibly beat football of today's age. The speed, athleticism and strength of these guys are just amazing. At every single position are the biggest, strongest and or/the fastest.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

    The Golden 20's.

Don't get me wrong I love football today, but I appreciate the football much more from back in the day before the 70's when steroid use wasn't around.

Now I'd say about %80-%90 of the players are using steroids which is why they're the biggest, strongest & fastest.

But it is entertaining to watch.

The size of players even within the last 10yrs has drastically increased.
Before a 300lb offensive lineman was considered to be huge & now it's just an average weight for the position.

& a 300lb Defensive linemen was considered enormous as many DT were 280lbs at most.

Even the bloody QB's are as big as LT was back in the day, it wasn't heard of even 10yrs ago.

But it's great to watch & play if you're at the NFL level & even other levels the guys are full size.

But I will always love the days of Johnny Unitis.

"70s for me. Mean Joe Green ... the wall ... miss that kind of D. Those boys were tough ... made TB look better than he really was because the wall shut down all that were in front of them.

    I liked the '70's, '80's and the '90's best.

The problem with the NFL today is that there is too much player movement now than ever before.

Don't forget Terry Bradshaw, Roger staubach, Walter Payton, Herschel Walker, Jim Brown, Upshaw the D-lineman, to name a few from that era.

Don't forget about the money greedy players especially the new rookies.

Johnny, you have a completely wrong view of "money greedy players esp. the new rookies".

Let me tell you something, if you were a college athlete and get drafted, you, and most of the rest of the world out there (myself included) would go after AS MUCH $ AS POSSIBLE that you think you could get. If the best RB is worth $10miillion, and you're better, you knwo what? You're gonna want 10.5. Its easy to say now that you're sitting on the couch watching these guys play sports for $, but if you were in their position you wouldn't give a fuck if the fans thought you were greedy.

Oh ya, and just to remind you of something else....remember those arrogant Patriots you hate? Did you know Brady restructured his contract for the SECOND time now so the Pats could afford other players and still be be under teh cap...

If you've never even played an NFL play, you certainly don't deserve $40+ for a contract.

But if you want to discuss it, you should check out ppl's opinions here:
