I comletely disagree. I know how hard the SEC is but it is still no Big12! I mean if last years Heisman winner doesn't beat you Peterson, who is as big as a linebacker and as fast as a DB, will kick your ass. Auburn is good, but not as good a the Sooners. I'm not a Sooner fan but I do think they have the edge. Honestly I think Oklahoma should be number 1. The Pac 10 couldn't hold a candle to the Big12 or the SEC. USC should be #3!

I am thinking you must be kidding. The SEC is so much more challenging that the Big 12 this year. I hate admitting it b/c I am an ACC guy, but the truth is, the SEC is the class of college football this year.

I think if all three teams are undefeated, the teams that play conference championship games should get the advantage. If the PAC10 wants to wuss out of a championship game, they have to know it may hurt a member win the NC. That is a crappy tie breaker, but when all three are undefeated, what else can you do?

Look at Auburn's non-conference schedule...LOUISIANA-MONROE,Mississippi State and fuqqing THE CITADEL.
Here is Oklahoma's... Bowling Green,Oregon and Houston. Now tell me who has a better non-conference schedule. It starts there. If Auburn didn't schedule cream puffs (The Citadel and Louisiana Monroe!!) then I'd give it to Auburn.

By the way I have no bias on either teams.

This is interesting even though it totally invalidates everything I have said in this thread:

Finishing undefeated in the SEC, playing for the conference championship and beating LSU, Tennessee and Georgia - when each of those teams were ranked in the top 10 . COME ON, get real! Auburn should be in the National Championship game no question about it

O.k. you're probably right on this one to a certain degree, but Oklahoma did have a harder non conference schedule and had just as many top 25 opponents in conference as Auburn did. I know LSU won half last year, but that was last year.

The Big 12 is as tough as the SEC imo. Oklahoma played some tough, tough road games.

Yup, the Big12 is hard core! You can never guess from game to game who will win.
