A poll that was released this week said that something like 60% of those males responding felt that baseball players who used steroids, records should not count. A majority thought they should be banned from the game if they tested positive also. If MLB is to reacquire it's clean image can they allow their Hall of Fame to have these people in there. They won't allow the best hitter of all time in for something that is legal, will they allow the hitter with the highest home run total in? Hypocrisy? Ain't the first time!

WEll, I guess this thread is dead. You slay me Dale. You are definately a freak.
But IMO, why wouldnt they let him in. They let Babe Ruth and Micky Mantle in and they were womanizing drunks. WE let a Senator who tried to cover up the deal of a woman in his car (Kenndey) still be a Senator. WE let a man who had a severe cocaine addiction be our current President. NASCAR let a man who stated on numerous occasions he would wreck anybody and any expense (Even their own life) be eulogized as a great man (Dale E Sr). Probably 50% of the professional boxers have been in jail for a long time for things like rape and assault (ie Mike Tyson, yet he still gets $50 per pay per view, which is more than the recent Klitschkso fight at $40). The WWE superstars who are revered as the second fastest growing spectator "sport" in the US, behind NASCAR, do tremendous amounts of juice. And then there are our "professional" bodybuilders, who if they all peed on the ground at the same time would cause a 200ft high DBOL/SUST tree to grow and a hole to China burned straight through. So, come on, why should this be any different. Don't we have 2 wars going on right now. Who the fuck cares about some juice in Bonds bat. They are all doing it (sic), so its not like it is an unfair advantage. Probably Aaron and Ruth did it too. Just different have tests back then to prove it, and media to propogate it all over the TV.
THAT WHICH DOES NOT KILL ME, CERTAINLY MUST MAKE ME STRONGER

I'll say it again, Bonds had won four MVP's and was a HOF player way before he began using steroids. The steroids might have helped him change from a HOF player to one of the three greatest ever, but he'd still be a HOF'er without the steroids. If you wipe out his last 6/7 seasons from the books, he's still in the HOF.
I would agree with that IAB. For his pre-juice stats he should get the nod.
