I wouldn't put it past the Hawks to lose, their D is really gonna have to step up, and thats just something which we have seen no evidence of so far! They are just so hurt, at the LB position with Anthony Simmons and Chad Brown, and probably their best Defensive player in Grant Wistrom is out as well, Hasselback is hurt but will play, we have safety Michael Boulware hurt, our best O'lineman Walter Jones is hurt, Marcus Tubbs is hurt, I mean the list goes on and on, and it shows. The Rams have as good a chance as any to beat 'em, I mean they just barely escaped a Falcons team who played their second team from the first quarter on basically.

Seattle's not too impressive, but i'm sure Martz will find some way to blow it.

I could care less about either of those 2 teams, they both suck.

I'm just sure Martz's belief that his QB is Joe Montana/P. Manning combined and that he hasta throw the ball 97% of the time will lead to the Rams demise.

how does that guy coach in the NFL? it's amazing.

Well they CAN throw the ball 97% of the time. They have the 2nd passing offense in the NFC. It's their turnovers and defense that kill then, not their passing game. They won 8 games because of their passing game.

And most Rams fans agree that Mike Martz is a joke of a coach.

No they CAN'T throw the ball 97% of the time....where do you think those TO's come from?
...INT's, sacks, Bulger fumbling in the endzone.

and why do you think their D sucks?
....sure they might not be good, but it doesn't help when their on the field all game cuz their offense has terrible time-of-possession (b/c they throw every down and get 3 and outs)

Besides, WHY throw the ball at all times when you have one of the top 10 RB's of all time on your team, no to mention a very good up and coming rookie?

I think "sucks" is kind of harsh when describing their defense. They don't "suck", but they are not great. They don't take the ball away AT ALL (last in the league). I think Lovie Smith leaving to take the Bears' head coach job has hurt them.

As far as the running game goes, Jackson will be a solid #1 back in a year or two, but right now he is still learning. Marshall Faulk is not a premier back anymore. He has slowed, he's got two bum knees, and he does not make moves like he used to. Sure he is a top 10 all time back, but he is not a top 10 guy in the league right now.

In any case, they'll still beat Seattle next week.

hey hey now Flex, just for that I am rooting for the Steelers! Seattle as a team doesn't suck, their Defense if hurt and not playing great, but their offense is still one of the best in the league. Hasselback is one of the top young QB's in the league and believe it or not, he has more Yards, just as many TDs, and fewer INT's than his mentor Farve at this point is their respective careers! Shawn Alexander, as much as I hate him, is a far better back than Corey Dillon, he was 1 yard away from the league rushing title and has 20 ruch TDs' this season. Seattle has the best left O'lineman in eth game IMO in Steve Hutchinson and Walter Jones

    Sorry, bro.
Alexander isn't "far better" than Corey. No way.

Alexander ONLY had 60 more rushing yards than Dillon. And the TD's aren't even comparable considering how much the Pats "spread the wealth" on offense.

(just a side note, i was comparing Brady and Hassle and they each attempted 474 passes. Brady copmleted 288 and Hassle 279... that's pretty weird)

well, for all you Steeler fans (and there are many kids at the h.s. i work at that try and break my balls everday about their Steelers), come talk to me when Rothlis is hoisting the Superbowl. Until then...

I agree, and I mis spoke by saying FAR better, my bad. you know how I feel about Alexander, I hate him. I would much rather have Dillon than #37, but statistically speaking Alexander is better, his numbers keep improving each year. It is true that the stats lie thou, they make him look far better of a back than he actually is. Plus you KNOOWWW I got love for Dillon, the former Washington Husky. I watched him carry the ball many times as a college player. Shit I was at the Husky game vs San Diego St when Dillon broke the Husky rushing record. hes' a good back
