I don't think the Pats will be considered underdogs based on what happened on both sides this weekend.

It may not happen, but I would love to see how Jim Johnson's defense matches up against the Pat's offense.

I hear ya bro. Not talking trash, just think it would be an interesting match up. I lived in Ohio when Corey Dillon was drafted by the Bengals in 97 (I think?). It was obvious even then, he was something special.

Michael Vick, like Dillon, is just amazing, but he is off and on. If TO is back and Westborook plays like today, the Eagles have a legitimate shot at taking the SB.

Did anyone see that carry by Dillon in the second half where he got stopped a yard past the line of scrimmage and ended up taking it to the 1 yard line. Christ that was amazing.

I'll add that Trotter needs to have another great game like he did yesterday if the Eagles have a chance against the Pats. But first they got to get by Atlanta...

Yeah, Trotter has been eatin' 'em up.

A buddy of mine used to train Trotter's Minister a couple years back. Supposedly his minister was one of the reasons Reid was fed up with him, Trotter wanted him in any meeting he had with Reid, he also fronted $250,000 for a new church. Seemed like a nice enough guy to me.

they are supposed to some snow sat-sun in Philly. that will have a huge impact on the Eagles passing game if it's still snowing come game time. if it comes down to a running game the Eagles are history, they have no running game.

We bitch slaped the Pats the first time we played them this year 34-20 ...

As far as the best team ever the Pats need another TWO rings to even equal the Steelers ... you need THREE more rings to beat the Steelers record and tie for the claim of best team ever Flex. But hey 2 aint bad. Not FOUR rings in SIX years like the Steelers. Chuck Noll was the winningest coach in SB history and the Steelers will still rank in holding a claim to an era of leadership in the NFL with a 4-1 record. The only two to best them are the Cowgirls with 5-3 and the 49'rs at 5-0.

All this BS about how bad BigBen did last week ...
Jets scored 1 touchdown from a kick return, ONE from a turnover, and 3 points from a field goal. The Jets were tough on D vs a dude with a thumb injury ... but that advantage is not gonna be there for the Pats.

Roethlisberger threw the shit outta that ball all season with an excellent comp percentage.

This will be a good game ... I'm gonna be either dancing through the house or kicking the cat.

If the Steelers take the Pats then no one else will stand in the way of a rookie QB earning a ring.

Someone on this site has to know if or which QB has done that before ... won the Superbowl as a 1st year rookie.

2 rings in 3 years, and ESPECIALLY 3 in 4 years nowadays is better than 4 outta 6 back then when there was MAYBE 4 good teams in the entire league.

Injured thumb or not, Pitt should send a bouquet to Doug Brien for even being in AFC championship

not to take anything away from the guy's winning, be he's overrated. Pitt sports a great D, and they run the ball more than anyone in the league, not to mention he had very few 200+yd games.

We had a level playing filed. Not as many teams as now with the succes of the expansion teams, nor as strong or skilled of a collection of players as a whole. But it was still the best the country could put on the field with a solid spread of teams. I'd stand Mean Joe Green up today and watch him earn. Terry Bradshaw would STILL rule if he were on the field and in his prime.

Bro I have so much regard for Brien ... he should have been given the MVP award from Pit for his performance at the end of the game. I wish he'd return my emails of thanks ... it hurt my feelings when my son Josh refused to allow me to call him "Dougie".

We were beat if he scored. His foot had no skill past the 40 and it was the Steeler's 'D that kept the Jets outta field-goal range.

We have a running game and a coach that uses it. It's why we are 16 and 1. "If it aint broke then don't fix it". If our ground and pound needs a break we go airborn. If BigBen looks shakey we use the runnig game. If that fails we still have Reed. The boy is reliable as he showed with that winning field-goal.

    hopefully the latter

Pittsburgh has the best run D in the NFL, Dillon will be kept to under 100 yards.
The Bus and Staley will be combined for 150 yards.
This will be a good ol in your face, bulldog kind of game, which favors the boys from the Iron City.
Steelers win 23 - 17, then go on to beat Philly 27-24

How the hell is Atlanta going to move the ball? Vick? No way, he's the most over rated QB in recent history. I'd take McNabb over Vic any day.

They beat a worse team, good QB or Bad.

I look at Pitt and NE as equal teams, but if the Pitt that played last week plays they will lose. I pick the Falcons in the second game because I don't think the Eagles receivers can catch a soggy football. If they stick with screens to Westbrook they can take it, but I don't think that is going to happen.

I would love to see a Patriots/Eagles Super Bowl, that way I can wear my Pats gear to the bar I will be watching the game at.
