    Great Terrell Owens Story...

One of my friends works at Buddakan, an upscale restaurant in Philadelphia, and has quite a story. Apparently last night or the night before TO comes in and the upstairs part of the restaurant was closed. He asked if they would open it up for him so he could dine privately. So they open it up for him and he eats, yadda, yadda. So he gets the bill which was $568...

    Guess how much he tipped...

$23. He didn't even round it to an even number. Hahahahahahahaha, that's fucking terrific. He said the tab is posted up on the wall in the back room. I asked him to copy it for me but he wouldn't I am going there tonight to confirm.

Apparently Westbrook, Dawkins, and a few others were there earlier in the week and they were all very good tippers.

last week we saw him dancing around on the sidelines when the eagles beat atlanta...but why the hell was he watching the previous game from a box and not on the field? sort of irritated me.

U got that right, if he plays in this game, he is going right back into surgery. Apparently, the Eagles are gonna make him sign a waiver if he plays forcing him to give up the rest of his contract if he gets a career ending injury.

Wow, what a smart move by Philly. Did Belichek switch teams or something??

If he plays and no injury occurs, they gain a good WR for the most important game for Philly in a LONG time.

If he plays and does get injured, he's a goner.

Either way, they have nothing to lose, cuz they were planning on being w/o him anyway.

    From the Philadelphia Inquirer-

Burkholder said the Eagles were on the same page as Owens and his agent, David Joseph, who was at the NovaCare Complex on Tuesday. Though the Eagles are more than willing to let Owens attempt his rapid return from his Dec. 22 ankle surgery, it's possible they may also be asking for protection if something should go awry on Super Bowl Sunday, creating a career-threatening injury for the star receiver.

One possibility is that Owens would have to sign a liability waiver in order to play in the game. Neither Joseph nor Eagles president Joe Banner returned phone calls yesterday.

I would think these peeps would know a bit more about it than you or I.

Again, no NFL contracts are guaranteed. All the waiver would mean is that some of that massive bonus that will be spread out overtime will not be given to Terrell Owens if infact a career threatening injury takes place.

Isn't that the same thing, you're just using semantics.

You said he'd be forced to give up the rest of his contract. No contract is guaranteed, therefore he wouldnt be forced to give up anything. That is all I am saying.

What I meant to say was the portion of his bonus covering those years, I misspoke. It is all just semantics anyway, the NFL has to get their shit together and just allow a portion of the yearly salary to be guaranteed.
