    Lakers to contact Jim Calhoun?

In light of Rudy T's likely resignation from the Lakers, its rumored they are going to contact Jim Calhoun about the coaching vacancy.

    Fuck the Lakers.

    From espn.com:

But once the process begins, they'll likely contact Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun to gauge his interest in jumping to the NBA, league sources said.

    i don't think he'll go.

He's got enough $. He's a legend in CT. And most important of all, it's 100% a completely different game of basketball in the pros. He's a great college coach b/c he knows how to teach kids. He's not gonna be able to tell Kobe Bryant what to do.
You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

i just love how the lakers have sunk so low..its like no one wants to coach them now..i guess kobe got what he wished for..he's the star now
Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.

I agree that he won't go. He OWNS this state. Plus, he's 62 and pretty much has a lifetime contract at UConn if he chooses to stay.

Man, what a mess the Lakers organization is right now. You think Coach K is happy he turned them down?

No doubt he is glad he turned them down. Everyone could see they're on the way down.

Calhoun won't go. I think it's gonna be more difficult to find a coach to put up with Kobe than they realize...

I have a TON of respect for guys (players AND coaches) that stay loyal to a team....Coach K (even if it is the oh so hated Blue Devils), Favre etc. etc.

Coach K knew he coulda made more $, but he also knew he'd go down as 100% loyal there, as opposed to being a great coach, then leaving for another team for more $.

thats why i don't understand some of the moves players and coaches make. What is the fucking big deal of making a few million $ more when you're already a multi-millionaire???? I just don't get it...

Pedro-coulda went down as one of the most beloved Red Sox ever in the hearts of Sox fans. Now he's just a has been.

Pitino-i hate to even get started on this form of hte anti-Christ, but why not stay in Kentucky where he was doing great and was beloved, and NOT completely ruin the greatest franchise in NBA history

    and SO many more....
