are you kidding me, the kid is definately having an all start year, no question. And I am certainly not the only one that thinks so. Have you even seen him play, the dude can shoot the three with great consistency, he has a great post game and this year has stepped up his aggressiveness to give Seattle that clutch basket whenever they need it. btw Yao Ming is extremely overrated, dude needs to play like he loves the game, which he doesn't.

Those would be awesome lineups. However, I think the starters they have in place now are going to be the best for a "showy" game with lots of dunks and oops. I'd rather see your picks for a pure game any day. The only changes I would make is to replace Grant Hill with Jermaine O'Neal and Nowitzki with Garnett. I think Dirk is great, but he's no KG.

Imagine Steve Nash feeding KG and Duncan on the same team. And he already knows what Stoudamire is going to do before he does it. It would be sick. On the other side, imagine Shaq under the basket with Lebron and Dwayne in the back. OMG that would be unreal. I'm actually going to watch the game this year I think.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

Shaq, Iverson, Lebron, Jermaine O'Neal and a wingman (Pierce, Jamison, Jefferson) is a NASTY lineup.

Nash just got named as a frigging reserve. Likely going to be MVP this year and he's a backup. Thank the fans for that one

It is not a matter of players I would like to have rather it is what he has done for Pheonix. When he didn't play for five games they lost every game.

I agree though I think someone like Lebron will be MVP. He has more than exceed expectations, and brought a shit team to a contender in the east. Don't Think Shaq will win cause Miami was already an alright team

    See, that's where we differ.

IMO MVP means "best player in the league", or who'd get selected #1 if there was a league-wide draft.

Even going by your standards, Shaq is more important to Miami than Nash is to Pheonix. So i Garnett. So is Francis. So is Pierce. So is Kobe.

ha I knew something like this was coming. As soon as I saw he made it last night, I immediatly thought of you rubbing it in my face... but hell i cant deal with this.

    Radman is a deadly shooter.

and Iain is right, its about how much you make your team better. Thats why KG has a slim chance this year.

Not sure how you figure that. Pheonix was something like 29-53 last year and they now have one of the best records in the league, with Nash's addition. Where as Miami was a playoff team last year, not a great one. Yes Shaq has improved there chances not even in comparison as to what Nash has down with the Suns or Lebron with Clevland.

Well, i tell you what, take Amare off the Suns and they won't do as well, or Marion.

And "Shaq has improved there chances not even in comparison as to what Nash has down with the Suns "??

Miami was a mediocre team last year, and now they are atop the east.

Amare and Marion were on the team last year and they were shit. Standings wise one of the worst in the league. The addition of Nash and now they are No.2 in the League.

Miami was just above .500 last year and a playoff team. Grant it they are alot better with Shaq in the lineup. But there isn't even a comparison on improvements by these teams with the addition of those players

I think it is about how a player brings a team up. With Nash in the lineup the Suns average something like 15 more points PER GAME and Stoudamire alone has his point average go from like 14 to 24 per game.

I think MVP should be just that - most VALUABLE. It's not always about the guy who scores all the points or has the best dunks. It's about the guy that can go to any team (even a crappy one) and increase their value simply because that one person is on the floor. I think if Nash went and played for the Hornets the results would be just as significant.

I'd put Lebron on the list because he has taken Cleveland from nothing to a playoff team and a decent one in two years.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

Amare was nasty BEFORE Nash came along. He averaged 21 last year, now he averages 26. And his tenascious ability to take the ball to the rim and dunk on people certainly isn't from the aid of Steve Nash.

And i agree, MVP should be just that-MOST VALUEABLE. In other words, the best player in the league. Not a player who neccesarily scores the most points, as you mentioned, but the player that would be taken #1 in a leaguewide draft, aka Shaq, Lebron or Garnett.

The reason the Suns are so good this year is cuz when you add Steve Nash, they now have 4 great scorers, cuz Joe Johnson is now a scoring threat.

And when you put 4 20pt/game scorers on one team, that's TOUGH to beat.

oh ya, forgot that they have Q-Richardson who also averages 15pts, and Jim Johnson as a 6th man who averages 10. that's 105 pts right there! THATS why they win...

sorry flex my man, but I gotta disagree, theres no question at all that half way through the season Nash is the undeniable MVP. MVP is the player most valuable to their team, not the best talent. It never has been like that and we have to stay consistent. Jordan has always been teh best, yet other players have won it like Malone and Barkley, does that mean that MJ stopped being the best. The Suns have gone from one of the worst records to the second best in the league, and they are 0-5 without Nash this year. He leads the league in assists by quite a large margin and he brings that whole team together. Right now there isn't another player on any team that does more respectively. The reason Q rich and JJ have a boost in their stats is b/c of the type of early offense Steve orchistrates. Plus they have no bench so those starters including Nash play almost 40 a game. it has to be him of MVP. There is no doubt in my mind
