Well I certainly was impressed that the American women did last night what the American men have NEVER been able to do, win an Olympic Bobsledding medal. And it was the GOLD!!! What I liked best was that it was the no-name team and not the stupid little Peyton Place team with all their personal gripes and biatches being played out in the media.

(Speaking of steroids, did you see the break"man" for the USA 1 women's team? Jeeze!!! I wish my legs were as big as her(?) arms.)

I'm sorry to correct you here IR, but you mistyped something by accident, you happened ot put down that your women kick ass in hockey when in fact we all know that Canadian women rock in that division

But prior to that, Canada had won something like 6 or 7 straight tournaments (beating the USA in all of them).

Sitting on my ass all day with nothing to do, I get to learn this stuff by watching TV.

womens hockey is so slow and boring.

I understand what they SAY is the reason for checking being illegal in women's hockey but I still don't buy it for two reasons. #1 I think they did that to create a more level playing field. Most of the European teams would get crushed, LITERALLY, by the North Americans and they needed to eliminate that physical advantage to try to make the Europeans more competitive.
#2 Checking is an integral part of hockey, without it the game is nothing more than soccer on ice. (And we all know how boring that is.)

CANADIAN WOMEN ROCK! Whoo HOOO! Oh yah baby, The had over one period worth of penalty minutes and they still kicked ass! Way to go CANADA!

Do the women players have the same on ice smiles as the men players?
