    Hockey's Back

Not that anyone cares, but Hockey has ratified its CBA.

The players finally came to there senses, and realized the struggles of many of the teams finacially.

Should be interesting to see what happens with player buyouts and free agents.

Hopefully the rule changes will eliminate the clutching and grabbing BS, that has ruined the game the last 10 years

I'm glad that the players finally gave up. They are now getting what they deserve and no more, and can't abuse their contracts anymore. Too bad it took a year for it to happen, but that's what you get for being buttheaded and fighting the owners. Hopefully the NBA follows this example and negotiates things away before a strike happens.

Now the free agent wars begin - most teams only have 7-10 players actually signed at this point if that. Plus now the max salary is a lot lower than is used to be. Smaller goalie equipment, no red line and the nets further back should all make things at least more interesting and action oriented.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

i hope none of the fans show up at the games. We should pay them back for watching less hockey and having a stadium full of empty seats. I'm not watching one second of hockey unless the boston bruins (my hometeam) does really well.

i care and i think it will be a good season. with the salary cap, there's no telling what the teams will be capable of accomplishing. teams like nj and detroit, who have great farm systems, will still be strong. that's really what it's gonna come down to: the consistantly deep talent teams of the past will probably dominate again but i'm sure the underdogs will be fun to watch too. the best scout will soon be in high demand. yeah for hockey!

I am glad hockey will be back. I missed it. However, I am glad the owners stuck to their guns. Hopefully, the baseball owners saw what ownership with a set can accomplish.

My hockey team, much like my football team, usually has very little chance of winning. Go Coyotes!

You guys are going to lose. You might as well just cheer for me, because Boston isn’t winning in Boston for the season opener. I’m sorry. " - Gilbert Arenas
