    Lance does it again!

I haven't seen anything posted in this section as of yet... but Lance put the smack down on the competition for his last year. Thats 7 Tours he's won, pretty amazing!

Was there ever any doubt he wouldn't?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Nah, not really. He played a much more technical game this time IMO... instead of just using brute force.

He could take everybody by brute force I think and win alot more stages, but I think he just wanted to enjoy it and so the main strategy I saw was that he never pushed himself harder than he had to... as long as his main competitors were behind him. There are alot of other guys that win individual stages that never win the Tour... because it is of course cumulative.

Then in the second to last stage he showed his hand by taking that stage as if to say "any time I could have done this". At least thats my personal thought on how he held off until the end to take that stage.

So nah, didn't really have any doubt about it. I wonder what the Tours going to be like next year without him there. Its actually better for him to retire IMO, because his dominance kinda keeps the others overshadowed. Rather like the Patriots winning the bowl year after year. Of course Lance has pulled it off for much longer

it's an astounding feat! i like the part when he was on the podium and said how he felt sorry for those who didn't believe he could do it (naturally). and how he was sorry that they couldn't dream big enough for something like this happen! another reassurance that we can do anything!
    amen Lance!!!

Lance is the Man. I'm so glad the Discovery Channel has been so faithful to sponsor him through this. Hey, did you guys see the motorcycle that Orange County Choppers made for him last year after #6? Totally AWESOME!
