Any Jim Rome fans in here?

    www.jimrome.com

He's a sports talk DJ and his show is played pretty much all around the country during the middle of the day.

I can't stand him. Dull. Plus his speech impediment is irritating.

    Jim Rome rocks...

"Rome also caused controversy when, in 1997, he challenged 69-year-old ex-hockey star Gordie Howe's plans to play a shift with the IHL's Detroit Vipers, which would have given "Mr. Hockey" the claim of having played professional hockey in six decades. Rome offered a bounty of $3,000 to any player on the team playing against the Vipers to take Howe out of the game permanently. Howe and his wife threatened Rome with a lawsuit, and the bounty went away."

You also have to give props to the guy for tottaly ripping into any athlete for acting like an idiot. 17 Vikings players come to mind.

I wish Jim Everette would have pounded his face in, because I hate Jim Rome and would love to have a go at him myself.

Jim Rome is OK, but he's still a talking-head.

Talking not "with," but "at" people who should do their own homework and draw their own conclusions.

I hate listening to Rome, he's a brash arrogant clown that runs his mouth everyday to no end. He's like the sports equivalent of an extremist on his best days

I don't watch him enough to remember examples except for the Jim Everette incident. But he comes off as a know-it-all and talks down on people from what I see and hear. I think he just hides behind the camera. I doubt he is like that in real life, unless he loves getting his ass kicked, or has bodyguards (which would be a wise investment for him). If Jim Everette would have beat his ass on camera, then I believe he would be a totally different TV persona today.

    Just my thoughts.

Does anyone know if he comes off differently on the radio vs his TV show? Whenever I hear him on the radio he notices when an athlete does something positive and lambasts an athlete when hes a jackass.

    Kornheiser and Wilbon are ridiculous.

Shouting, talking about athletes personal lives.

    Stupid in; stupid out.

Making fun of Tony K and Wilbon will not be tolerated.

Tony K is BY FAR my favorite radio guy. Mike Golic is good too.

Dan Patrick and Jim Rome are the worst.

Yes, he can pronounce his 'R's, it's the "L"s that he mangles...or mangos. That would be a mild annoyance if his droning style of speaking was worth listening to, but it isn't. This guy's a dud.

I gotta aggree with ya pep, I enjoy PTI even thou Seattle Teams never get ANY love from them.

As for Stephen A. I can get down with him. He's brash but he knows basketball, and he gives real answers to questions instead of the canned responses that you constantly hear from everyone else in sports. It gets old.
I really Like the NBA Shootaround crew and the NFL Live crew as well. Of course Primetime with Boomer and TJ get it done..lol

Of the times I've seen him, Rome just seems like some metrosexual who speaks in monotonic cliches throughout his whole program. I don't know how he's lasted this long.

Stephen A. is smart, and relentless, and doesnt give in, have to respect that, but he is an annoying drama queen bitch...He is very smart when it comes to basketball, but he has to admit when he is wrong....according to him A.I was going to leave Philly.....like 3 years ago?

Wrong, wrong worng......He swore by that and faught it to the death, but wrong.
