Thread: Who was the best college football team of 05?

Yeah but who cares...I love college football and can't wait til next year. I could talk about cfb all year long.

I pick Texas. USC is great as well. I would pick Texas to beat them again if they played.

Texas had the best player, USC was the best team.

People think Texas just had Vince Young. What about Romance Taylor, Jamal Charles, Limas Sweed, Billy Pittman, Michael Huff (thorpe award winner), Selvin Young, David Thomas, Both the Griffins and Ross. Young was the best player on the team but these guys definitley helped Texas get to that game. Young Just out shined everyone that night including USC.

USC was better, Texas just happened to be better that night.
USC was the best team in 04 also, I still wish AU would have got the chance to play them instead of Oaklahoma. I think it would have made for a better game but USC still would have won. As an SEC fan I think that it is the toughest conference year in year out, but the past two USC teams would have beaten any SEC team easily. Take nothing away from Texas though, they have also been good the past two years and were good last year. IMO USC was better.

Is this one of those rhetorical questions? Didn't these 2 teams play, and the better team won? That's usually how these thigns are decided. BTW, I chose Texas.
