He looks like he could still go anouther 5-6 rounds.....that eye isnt that bad yet

he had balls saying that. He should be glad the ref stopped the fight before he suffered permanent eye damage.

They tend to stop fights when the fighter can't even see.

Vargas was letting in a lot of right hands. If the fight hadn't been stopped, he surely would have lost the decision.

He was ahead on one of the cards at the time of the stoppage.

Yes, on one of the three cards.. with vision in only one eye and more punches coming through, without a knockout, vargas had no chance. The fight stopped with Vargas behind 1 round on the majority of the scorecards. Last round scored was the 9th, he was losing what there was of the 10th with 1:40 left. The best he could have hoped for was a draw, but with one eye, I don't think that would have been likely.
